Consistent service over time

I've been with Right To Bear for a few years now, always renewing my Individual Membership with the Spouse Coverage. This year's renewal was just as smooth as the previous ones. I got the renewal offer email a few weeks before it was due, and it was easy to just click and pay. Their service has been consistently reliable, which is why I keep coming back. I haven't had to use the 24/7 Emergency Hotline, thankfully, but just knowing it's there and the Attorney Network Access is available is why I stay with them. They've maintained their quality.

Great value on Family Plan

I was looking for self-defense coverage for my whole family and Right To Bear had a good Family Protection Plan. I found an annual plan discount that really helped with the cost. It felt like a solid investment compared to other options I looked at. The Bail Bond Coverage gave me peace of mind, knowing that's handled if anything ever happened. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth and then some for what they offer.

Good coverage, some hiccups

I signed up for the Individual Membership and added Multi-State Coverage. The enrollment process online was straightforward enough, and the details of what's covered for Civil Defense and Criminal Defense were clear. I appreciated the transparency there. The annual plan discount made it a better value, too. My only minor issue was with activating the 24/7 Emergency Hotline Access; it took a couple of calls to customer service to make sure it was fully set up in their system. They were helpful once I got through, but it felt a little clunky. Overall, I feel much more secure having this protection in place.

Easy sign-up process

So I finally got around to getting some self-defense coverage and went with Right To Bear's Individual Membership. Signing up was pretty simple, honestly. Just a few clicks and I was done. Didn't have any issues. It's nice to know I have the Legal Defense Fund Access now. I didn't get the Multi-State Coverage yet, just stuck with the basic plan for now. Good experience overall, made it easy.

How does Right To Bear stack up against USCCA? Heard good things about both but wanna make sure I pick the right one.

M Megan 2 months ago
It's a common question. USCCA is more about training and education alongside legal, while Right To Bear focuses heavily on the legal defense side, connecting you with lawyers and covering costs. Depends what's more important to you.

Right To Bear seems to be pretty good on the civil defense coverage if that's a concern. Some folks say they have a wider attorney network. USCCA might have more training resources though, just depends what you prioritize.

Thinking about getting the Right To Bear coverage. Is it actually legit? Saw some ads but wanna hear from real people.

R Raj Marsh 2 months ago
Yeah, it's legit. I've had it for about six months now. Haven't had to use it thankfully but knowing it's there is huge. It's more of a legal service than insurance, helps with lawyers and stuff.

Totally legit. My buddy had a situation (not gonna go into details) and they hooked him up with a lawyer super fast. Saved him a ton of stress and cash, for sure.

Can I add my wife to my Right To Bear plan easily, or do we each need our own separate membership? Trying to figure out the family cost.

R Raj Osei 3 months ago
Yep, you can add a spouse! They have a Spouse Coverage option. I added mine right after I signed up, was pretty straightforward on their site.

There's definitely a family protection plan or spouse add-on. Don't think you need two full separate memberships for that.

Anyone know if Right To Bear has any promo codes floating around right now? Looking to sign up for an annual plan.

C Cody Reyes 2 months ago
Check their site around holidays, or sometimes they have codes for like, NRA members or veterans. I got 15% off my first year with a referral code someone posted on a forum.

I think I saw something for first responders too, if that applies to you. Also, annual plans usually get a discount automatically compared to monthly, afaik.

What if my self-defense situation doesn't involve a firearm? Does Right To Bear still cover me for like, a knife or just hands-on defense?

P Phil 2 months ago
Yes, they cover non-firearm self-defense. It's not just for guns, it's for any lawful act of self-defense.

Pretty sure it's for any legal self-defense, not just firearms. So if you use a knife or just your fists, as long as it's legal, you should be good. That's how it was explained to me when I signed up.
